About Dr. Apter...
Dr. Robert Apter practiced as a board-certified emergency physician for over 40 years. In 2021, he joined myfreedoctor.com, with whom he treated over 15,000 patients for Covid via telemedicine.
As an emergency physician, Dr. Apter worked in a variety of hospitals, including Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, a level one trauma center (North Mountain Hospital), a high-volume emergency center in Yuma, Arizona, and several small emergency departments. He has served as Medical Director of emergency departments in Washington state, as hospital Chief of Staff, and as a former President of the Washington Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Apter had a very high level of success in treating acute Covid patients with myfreedoctor.com, using alternative medicine strategies including ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. This practice resulted in investigations by 3 different state Medical Boards, none of whom could find any evidence of any patient complaints or adverse outcomes. As a result of having to contest these Boards, Dr. Apter became a plaintiff in a lawsuit against the FDA, along with co-plaintiffs Drs. Paul Marik and Mary Talley Bowden (Apter vs HHS). Their lawsuit was settled in favor of the plaintiffs, with FDA agreeing to remove advertising that criticized use of ivermectin for Covid, and with an appellate court decision affirming the rights of physicians to prescribe medications including ivermectin off-label, and rebuking FDA for exceeding its authority by telling physicians how they may or may not use approved drugs.
Dr. Apter has been a lifelong advocate for and participant in outdoor exercise. He has been a runner, mountain climber, long distance kayak racer, and trail runner. Currently, he enjoys hiking in the beautiful red rocks that surround his home in Sedona, Arizona.
“I have been following and admiring Dr. Kory’s work since first starting to treat Covid patients. I am delighted to have an opportunity to join the Leading Edge Clinic, to help patients suffering Covid vaccine injuries, as well as acute and long-term Covid related illness. I am also available to treat complex medical issues, whether or not vaccine related.”
