About Shelly Chruscik...

Graduating in 1993 from St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology, Chatham, Ontario, with a Diploma in Nursing, Shelly worked as a Registered Nurse in the fields of Geriatrics, Home Visiting and Acute Care/Surgery before finding an opportunity in Pulmonary Medicine, south of the border. Shelly flourished in both the inpatient and outpatient pulmonary departments and was encouraged to enroll in University to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

In 2010 Shelly obtained her BScN from University of Detroit Mercy which allowed Shelly’s career opportunities to broaden. Shelly accepted a position as a Lung Transplant Coordinator before moving into her next role as Unit Educator. Since then, Shelly has been a Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager and Administrative Manager before joining The Leading Edge Clinic in August 2024. Shelly also volunteers her time as a Wellness Partner with CanConnect19 for the vaccine injured and most recently was conference manager for the ‘Are You Getting Enough? – Vitamin D Conference’ in Chatham, Ontario.

Shelly’s adherence to strong work principles, ethics and morals of do no harm, the right to full informed consent, freedom of bodily autonomy, freedom of medical choice without coercion, patient confidentiality, upholding The Patient Bill of Rights, and her commitment to patient advocacy became a career challenge in the face of the Covid-19 narrative. Bearing witness to the harm of Covid-19 mandates and lockdowns, Shelly embraced a whole new way of life; her continuous learning brought her new knowledge to provide safe and effective care using a more natural, holistic approach, while supporting nutraceuticals and repurposed pharmaceuticals when necessary.

Shelly is married to her college sweetheart and best friend, Richard, and will be celebrating their 33rd Anniversary in 2025. Together they care for their farm family of 2 Springer Spaniels, (Ziggy and Lilly), cats (Conher, Bella, Thomas, Spencer, Jazzie and Tango), pet chickens, pigeons and fish. When they are not in the barn, they are outside in nature, either gardening, cutting the grass, hunting, fishing, boating, ATV’ing, camping or exploring the great outdoors. Shelly is grateful to her sister (Tammy), niece (Kathleen), Uncle Jim, Aunt Kim and her new Pheonix family she has made along the way that championed her to stay dedicated to her beliefs, philosophy and character.

**Shelly is not licensed to practice nursing in Ontario, Canada**

The team is highly knowledgeable about the different phases of Covid (if somebody transitions into the more critical phase) and about the various treatment options in each phase.

Hillmar

Long Haul Covid Patient

I don’t recall a time when I’ve had medical care as kind, caring and effective as I have had thus far with Dr. Kory. His staff takes the time to listen, explain care options
