India Scott, FNP-C, CTP has been working in the nursing field for over thirty years. During college she worked as a CNA.  She graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Alabama in 1994 with Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation she worked in both the hospital and home health setting.

Furthering her education, she attended Emory University’s Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing program in 1997. Having the desire to make a bigger difference in patients’ lives, she decided to become a Family Nurse Practitioner and graduated in 2000 from the University of South Alabama with Master of Science in Nursing and Clinical Nurse Specialist degree.

She has been practicing as an FNP-C for twenty two years and uses an integrative medicine approach to patient care. After working in a traditional medicine setting for several years, she realized medications are not always the answer to addressing disease and achieving optimal health.

Determined to make the best decisions for patients based upon science, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology, India has helped hundreds of people achieve their health goals. She is board certified in obesity medicine and has a passion for helping patients lose weight with individualized treatment.

The past three years have by far been the most challenging of her career. Upon the start of the pandemic she worked in the only outpatient COVID clinic in her area. Later working in family practice, she experienced the challenges of caring for patients with long-haul COVID and recognizing vaccine injuries. She is thankful to be with Dr. Kory’s Leading Edge Clinic where she can provide the care patients need.
